Verea gets the Aenor certificates of Quality and Environment under the new ISO rules

The company believes it is a satisfaction to be the first Spanish tile manufacturer to adapt its management system to the new framework of international standards, published in 2015.

The manufacturer of roof tiles, Verea, has just get the Aenor certificates of Quality and Environmental under the new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 rules. The company believes it is a satisfaction to be the first Spanish tile manufacturer to adapt its management system to the new framework of international standards, published in 2015.​​

The company maintains its dedication to continuous improvement and reinforces its commitment  to product quality and environmental care.

More control over the product life-cycle management

One of the main changes in the new framework of ISO 9001 is required to have more control over the entire life-cycle of the product, from extraction of raw materials in quarries themselves, to the end use of the product. The quality area of Verea have been reducing the environmental impact as much as in the quarries during the manufacturing process and end use of the product with a recycling plan for 12 years.

Verea ins entered in the Register of Carbon Footprint, Compensation and Projects CO2 Absorption of Magrama. The company implemented measures to improve energy efficiency as reuse energy from oven to drying, replacement of transport vehicles and improved insulation of the furnace to reduce heat loss.

The new standard also requires that quality is a commitment of the entire organization, falling the maximum responsability on the management. During the last 5 years, Verea has a Quality Committee chaired by the general directos, Luis Verea, assessing risks and apportunities, that promotes greater efficiency in all processes. Since 2012, Verea has invested more than 300.000€ to take this improvements.
